Arts Council Ireland Digital Arts Policy Launch at Beta Festival

The Arts Council Ireland (ACI) launched its Digital Arts Policy at Beta Festival on Friday 3 November with an overview of the policy, followed by a panel conversation with art and technology collectives from around Ireland on the opportunities and challenges in working with digital technologies within creative practice.

The Digital Arts Policy Launch panel - Perspectives from Art & Tech Collectives with Timpeall (Cork), Concept Null (Limerick), Dublin Art and Technology Association (D.A.T.A.). The Digital Arts Studios was also invited to join the conversation, contributing a perspective on the policy from Northern Ireland.

ACI recognises the significance and value of digital arts and has developed its first Digital Arts Policy to support their development and position, both in Ireland and internationally. The policy aims to support and encourage digital artistic activities, build on and enhance existing capacity and resources, and unlock opportunities for artists, organisations, and the public alike.
