Sonic Sleuths workshop

  • Digital Arts Studios 1 Exchange Place Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT1 2NA United Kingdom (map)

We are excited to host another event as part of Sound of Belfast 2023.

This year we are hosting a workshop called Sonic Sleuths that will introduce you to field recording and how these sounds can be manipulated and used in your own music.

Artist and musician Cameron Clarke will introduce you to a range of specialist microphones that can uncover the hidden electromagnetic sounds present in the world around us. He will take you out to explore and record sounds around the Cathedral Quarter and then show you how to edit and experiment with manipulating these recordings to use in your own music, artistic projects... or just for fun!

* Please note * Participants should ideally bring their own laptop if they wish to edit the sounds during the workshop, but recordings can be emailed for use after the workshop.

Saturday 18th November, 1pm - 3pm.

It will be held at Digital Arts Studios, 1 Exchange Place, Belfast BT1 2NA.

Free Event - Advance sign up is mandatory - Limited space available.
