This course is aimed at those who have some basic skills in using computers and graphic design. Focusing in Adobe Illustrator, the class will look at the theory and comparison between vector and bitmap artwork, the application interfaces, creation of imagery, ideas for illustration styles, typography and document layout. Some time will be also be spent in Photoshop and you will learn how to work easily between these programs. This class focuses on the technical rather than the creative side of graphic design, specialising in design for print. Participants are encouraged to bring along any of their own work which they would like help or direction with.
