Daniel Jewesbury

This comprehensive workshop consists of an introduction to sound theory, sound recording equipment and digital audio editing software. It will be of particular interest to artists using installation, new-media and video in their practice. Over four evenings participants will look at various recording techniques, digitising audio using software such as Amadeus Pro, Final Cut Pro & DVD Studio Pro. The workshop will be project based with one session allocated for participants to use the DAS sound recording equipment in the field. The final session will cover outputting audio for a variety of environments with an emphasis on installation.
