My practice takes a variety of forms including drawing, film, object making and performance, which is then composed into mixed media installations. I aim to explore the issues of consumption and unsustainability, and how they affect perceptions of domestic space, memory, and the female body, among others. The project will highlight my struggle to recycle or re-use materials and objects that no longer serve a practical function, but which I have yet to dispose of due to sentimentality or consumer guilt, into art objects which convey intimacy and personality. I am also interested in promoting the visibility of the artist through digital documentation, to contrast with the invisibility of the worker who makes all the cheap and dispensable things that we buy.
I am a recent graduate with a Fine Arts degree from Ulster University.
