Dorothy Hunter is a Belfast-based artist. Working primarily across sculpture, installation and photography she is interested in how spaces and society relate to and outgrow each other. Often referencing both specific and general histories, she explores how information changes and condenses through time and media. She is particularly interested in the element of removal that comes with time and distance, where desensitization opens up new possibilities and explores the boundaries of appropriation.
Recent exhibitions include “Presently” at Millennium Court Arts Centre (2014) and “Production CCA” (2013).
