eegb Edmund Eva & George Baldwin

Artist Intro

eegb is a drawing research group conceived by George Baldwin and Edmund Eva during their final year of BA Drawing at Falmouth University. They build and program machines that draw.

Inspired by systems, behaviours and patterns in nature we use technology to emulate and illustrate these forms and their intrinsic aesthetic. We believe we can reveal emergent behavior within the systems we are modelling that give us perspective on the constructs we live within.

The idea of producing drawings using a robotic extension of ourselves is an exploration through which we want to abstract concepts of creativity, distilling these ideas down with mechanical action and mathematical equations.
