"Michael Doocey was born in Ireland in 1983, trained in Fine Arts at the Crawford College of Art in Cork and currently lives and works in the Netherlands. His work explores existential themes through painting, sculpture, lens-based media, live performance and theoretical writing. Michael’s recent work displays an interest in relating to the artefacture of esoteric practices within a deliberately incompetent deployment of utopian ideological systems."
