After Effects Masterclass with David Haughey

David Haughey is a visual artist working with both digital and analogue mediums.

He has exhibited work in conjunction with The MAC and Factotum in Venice, has recently shown work in Void Derry curated by Mark Wallinger and has exhibited at the Royal Ulster Academy. He has more than ten years teaching and professional experience working with digital media and analogue processes.

“We’ll look at the structure and workflow for an average project, the full palette of effects available for live action footage, navigating the interface, and the processes required to create fluid motion graphics an animation. From adding simple colour grades and titles on live action footage, to camera tracking, 3D elements and integration with photoshop, this workshop will begin with the essentials, and will reveal more complex techniques over the three evening sessions. Participants may bring their own digital footage for advice on individual projects, although I will also provide raw material for set projects. It’s advised that participants have some prior experience of using Apple Mac computers.”

The workshop will take place over three evenings from Tuesday the 10th of November until Thursday the 12th November. Places are limited to six people so early booking is essential. The workshop costs £30 for members of DAS or VAI or £45 non-members rate.
