Future Labs has launched. It is a new and innovative training programme for artists. It will provide training and technical support for artists who wish to experiment with emerging technologies, develop skills and generate innovative work. Artists will have the opportunity to learn a variety of technical skills and explore areas such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Green Screen, Motion Capture, 3D Volumetric Film, Artificial Intelligence, Projection Mapping, 3D Printing, Photogrammetry, Sound Design and IOT.
The programme, which will commence on the 16th of November 2018 and run to March 2019, consists of a series of technical and skills-based workshops. Artists must be able to commit to participating in the core set of workshops: Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence and Projection Mapping, with the option of attend the remaining workshops in the programme.
DAS would like to invite all artists who are interested in exploring the potential of new digital technologies to apply for a place on this programme here. DAS is offering a promotional price for the first season of Future Labs. The entire training programme costs only £150 but numbers are strictly limited.
