DAS are seeking a freelance Coordinator/Creative Technician to run its Future Labs Programme in 2019/20.
The Future Labs Programme is to be delivered between August 2019 and March 2020. This is an 8-month contract and the total fee for delivery of the project will be £4000.
Future Labs Programme Structure
The programme consists of a series of technical and skills-based workshops. Artists will commit to participating in the core set of workshops: Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence and Projection Mapping, with the option of attend the remaining workshops in the programme. DAS will invite artists who are interested in exploring the potential of new digital technologies to apply for a place on this programme. Future Labs will be run by a Creative Technician and workshops will be carried out by external facilitators.
- August 2019:
Creative Technician in place to start delivering training and developing workshops programme.
- September 2019:
Creative Technician has established a programme of training for artists and advertises this in an open call.
- September - December 2019:
A series of training workshops take place.
- Jan – March 2020:
Training follow-ups with artists, evaluation processes and further one-to-one tuition with artists.
- March 2020:
Creative Technician submits a report on the achievements of the project and evaluates the work produced.
- Ongoing: Creative Technician will provide technical support throughout the project for individual artists.
