Our doors are open and we look forward to supporting you and the digital arts in both the physical and virtual world. Applications are invited for the residency period April - July.
Our latest residency opportunity at DAS will offer artists four months to work on a specific project of their choice, developing their skills and artistic practice. As well as our usual studio space for 4 in-person residents, we are broadening the residency to allow 4 further artists to participate online.
The aim is to broaden the scope of the residency, widen the reach of participants and encourage artists to push their practice through presentations and group seminars, and possibly collaboration.
Our in-person residents will have 24hr access to the studios with their own personal iMac workstation and can avail of our range of specialised audio-visual equipment for a monthly fee of £60. The online residency offers a reduced fee of £30.
All residents will have free access to our series of Future Labs workshops as well as exclusive access to a projection mapping workshop and online artist talks. Technical advice and creative support will be available during office hours. We welcome proposals from artists from any background who wish to engage with digital technologies to push the boundaries of their own practice and the cultural world around us.
Please note that we are based on the second floor and, due to the building’s listed status, unfortunately there is no lift access
The deadline is at midnight on Monday 28th March 2022 and artists can apply directly via our website: https://digitalartsstudios.com/residencies/
