Our facilities include a shared studio for artists and hotdesk facilities where you can rent a workstation for anything from an hour to a month. We run workshops in a range of subjects from creative code to DSLR filmmaking and all of our training can be offered as outreach. We curate visual, digital art for screenings and exhibitions and hold a substantial archive of local and international artists’ work.
DAS arranges exhibitions on a case-by-case basis to suit the work of the current artists in residence so each exhibition is different and requires a different type of venue and installation. DAS works in partnership with local galleries and other venues including the Golden Thread Gallery, Ps2 Project Space and the Ulster University Gallery. Information on past exhibitions can be found archived on our events page.

DAS’s workshop programme is constantly evolving in response to the needs of our audience. We collect feedback from every workshop specifically asking participants what other areas they would like training in. We respond to this by researching the resources needed and sourcing the facilitators who have the skills to provide the training. The workshop programme therefore changes each year to reflect changing needs. We take a very open and innovative approach to programming workshops, with an understanding that often, the facilitators and artists may be teaching or learning something incredibly new in terms of technology or techniques. We allow for experimentation and provide space for development of ideas.
