John Crothers
John Crothers is an interdisciplinary artist, based in Belfast, whose work blends traditional and digital mediums. Influenced by impressionism as well as the aesthetics of animation for games and film, John's art captivates with its vivid colour and innovation. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Games Art and Design from Norwich University of the Arts, with a focus on Concept Art, John brings a unique perspective to his craft.
His artwork has been published in ‘Queer Assembly,’ exhibited at Artcetera and Usfolk’s Big Queer Art Show in Belfast. As an Artist in Residence at Digital Art Studios, John dedicated his time to continuous exploration and experimentation. Drawing inspiration from folklore and mythology, John has developed an augmented reality work called 'From Here to There,' to change how we interact with artwork.
