Lab Work - Private Viewing

As 2024 draws to a close, we are delighted to present new works from our recent Home Residents – Aiden Brady,  Karen Daye-Hutchinson, Martin Della Vecchia and Thomas McConville.

This workshop will guide participants in constructing an artist manifesto from a Cyberfeminist lens, with abstract and dadaist approaches to writing and composing text.

Join us during Sound of Belfast for an informal in-person demonstration on how body and movement sensors can be incorporated into music performance to control music, visuals and lighting.

Late Night Art November: XR Lab showcase

This beginner’s course will introduce you to essential programming concepts while showcasing how coding can enhance various creative practices.

Immerse yourself in the world of ambisonics and discover its creative potential in this hands-on workshop.

This projection mapping workshop is free and exclusive to members of our XR LAB only.

Projection mapping is a method used to turn objects into display surfaces. This workshop introduces participants to the technique and the requirements and assets associated with it, using TouchDesigner.

The workshop offers a fun and playful way of learning some new digital skills taking a visual image and exploring ways of converting it into audio. The resulting sound piece is then edited and reverted into the visual medium.

DAS is proud to showcase the work of our recent Home Residents – Kharis Beggs, Dave Loder, Sally O’Dowd, and Emma Spreadborough - who were with us from April to July ’24.

This week, members will be able to partake in a workshop in Unity Engine with Nina Fern.

The workshop will give an introduction to building a 3D environment in Unity, implementing boundaries and interactive triggers, as well as a first-person-controller into the world.
