This beginner’s course will introduce you to essential programming concepts while showcasing how coding can enhance various creative practices.

This projection mapping workshop is free and exclusive to members of our XR LAB only.

Projection mapping is a method used to turn objects into display surfaces. This workshop introduces participants to the technique and the requirements and assets associated with it, using TouchDesigner.

The workshop offers a fun and playful way of learning some new digital skills taking a visual image and exploring ways of converting it into audio. The resulting sound piece is then edited and reverted into the visual medium.

The workshop will give an introduction to building a 3D environment in Unity, implementing boundaries and interactive triggers, as well as a first-person-controller into the world.

There will be a presentation session for XR Lab participants on Friday 10th May from 11am. This day will be an opportunity for artists using the XR Lab to informally present and discuss their work with other participants.
