Philip Rainey

Philip Rainey (b. 2001) is a visual artist based in Northern Ireland. Through the mediums of photography, text, installation and mixed-media, their work stems from the poetics of the everyday. Their practice thematically explores selfhood, spirituality and memory. Their lyrical visual style blurs the lines between the pictorial and the painterly, toying with the nebulous relationship between the real and the fictitious. They hold a BA in Photography with Video (Belfast School of Art). Their work has been published in Profiles Journal and exhibited in Belfast, Dublin and London.
