Allison Maria Rodriguez is the guest international artist in residence at DAS for 2023. She began her residency in early May as a virtual artist in residence before arriving in Belfast on the 31st of May.

Throughout the month of June, Rodriguez filmed extensively across Northern Ireland creating footage of many ancient and sacred spaces including Nendrum Monastic Site, Ossian's Grave and Beaghmore Stone Circles. This stunning footage of the Northern Irish landscape forms the basis of a project which the artist will go on to develop, but we are delighted to be able to share this new work with you in its nascent state as part of an immersive installation in our gallery.

This incredible exhibition features an immersive installation of Rodriguez's 'Earth Oracles' series, with several new moving image portraits of animals native to Ireland.
