Aiden Brady - Artist Talk

  • Digital Arts Studios 1 Exchange Place Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT1 2NA United Kingdom (map)

Aiden Brady will deliver an artist talk to discuss his exhibition What can you see, from over the brow?, showing at DAS in partnership with Belfast Photo Festival 2025.

Brady’s new audiovisual installation will explore how meaning is assigned to landscape, set to the context of ecological breakdown. This work juxtaposes everyday ambivalence toward Irish landscapes, spiritual interpretations of natural environments and the spectacle of destructive climate events.

What can you see, from over the brow?, wonders what ‘nature’ is. Does it exist, is it an idea or is it our mirror?

Aiden Brady is a new media artist and writer working across sound, video and installation. His work often deals with place, identity and the self.

In 2023, Aiden displayed work at Spacecraft Studios and Shannon Rowing Club in Limerick City and in 2024 participated in PS2 Belfast's 'Ideal Development Opportunity'. He is currently a resident on Dublin Digital Radio, hosting 'One Less Colour'. In January 2024, he graduated UL's Art & Technology MA programme.

Aiden’s talk will take place at the Digital Arts Studios on Friday 6th June, 1 - 2pm.

It will also be streamed online via zoom and a link will be sent to ticket holders the day before the talk.

Tickets for both options are free and will be available via eventbrite from 6th May at 10am: https://DAS-Photo-Festival-Aiden-Brady.eventbrite.co.uk

Space is limited to 12 seats, so please contact us or cancel your ticket order if you cannot attend to free up your ticket for others.
