Introduction to Unreal Engine

Zero to Hero - Unreal Engine is a super powerful platform to tell engaging stories in real time. Where you are working with a Video wall, Virtual Production, Production Installations and or Rendered works. It also provides a powerful set of tools for planning installations and pre-production for any film, motion or art project.

Get the inside track on how to use it as quickly as possible with no technical jargon and beautiful results. During this XR Lab workshop, Graham 'Thomas Patrick' Robinson will introduce you to the potential of the software, focusing on how artists can use Unreal to empower and inspire your creative process while giving you some of the most in demand industry skills today.

NB No previous experience required! This workshop will avoid all jargon and technical language and explain Unreal for people who are more familiar with Photoshop / Video editing / sending email.

If possible please download Unreal and install it on your machine and open a project before class ( this will just save you a lot of time) here is a quick video to help - (also Unreal works great on both Mac and PC so just install it on what you have.

By the end of this workshop you will:

- Be able to setup Unreal on your Mac or PC

- Understand Unreal from an Artists / creatives pov

- Get 1000s of free assets to build amazing worlds

- Render out videos with cool camera moves

- Understand how to scan physical objects and bring them into your project.
