Workshop: It’s All Data

  • Digital Arts Studios 1 Exchange Place Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT1 2NA United Kingdom (map)

It’s All Data

The workshop offers a fun and playful way of learning some new digital skills.

During this class we explore the hybrid quality of information and representation. We start with a visual image and explore ways of converting it into audio. The resulting sound piece is then edited and reverted into the visual medium.

This process is then continued in an iterative manner utilizing open-source software we convert and open the asset procedurally examining the capabilities that are offered through this approach. The focus of the session is to impart a greater understanding of dissonance, creative potential and just how malleable digital assets can be.

Please note: Participants are asked to bring their own laptop.  Alternatively email DAS before booking if you need access to a computer to participate in the workshop.

The workshop costs £30 and places are limited.

To book your place, please email richard@digitalartsstudios.com

Your place will only be confirmed once payment has been received.
