Creative Coding
This beginner’s course will introduce you to essential programming concepts while showcasing how coding can enhance various creative practices. Through engaging exercises and hands-on learning, you'll discover how to use code as a tool for artistic expression.
As a highlight, we’ll delve into the world of generative art, taking inspiration from Sol LeWitt's influential work to create our own unique visual pieces. By the end of the course, you’ll not only grasp the basics of programming but also see how creative coding can be a powerful medium in any artistic or design practice.
No prior coding experience needed—just bring your imagination and enthusiasm!

Facilitator Bio:
Abra Dickson White is a creative technologist and artist working in Northern Ireland. Her practice focuses on combining art and technology, as well as the physical and digital. Abra is currently participating in the XR Lab at DAS and is working in exploring cross-sector technologies for immersive arts with the support of the Arts Council and Future Screens NI.
